From my travelling experience I try to write interesting short novels. Valley of Flowers is my first novella, though I have been previously published. One short story was recently included in a literary magazine out of UC Berkeley. My first story was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. I live in Thailand.

About myself:
I was born in Manhattan, New York and grew up near Woodstock New York, where the 1969 rock-festival took place. A very interesting place to grow up! I have lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, since 2003 and am applying for Canadian citizenship, so I will be a dual-national. At the moment, I am living in Toronto, but will be going to Orlando, Florida, to be with my family. My English tutoring experience includes teaching Business English, conversational and written, to an Estonian, and I also teach conversational and written English, including college preparation, to students from Korea. At my university, I help non-native English speakers from Saudi Arabia with their assignments, and I do non-native English editing for a mathematician from Poland. I absolutely love sharing English-speaking and writing skills one-on-one, because students can take what they learn and use it right away, to meet their goals and expand their life-options.
Things I love:
Music, classical, opera, and rock, jazz; films. I also enjoy walking, especially in the country. I ride and train horses for pleasure and own a large pony. Canoeing and being on the beach, looking at the waves, are ways I like to spend my free time. I really enjoy reading and creative writing, drawing and painting.

I think my life is rather hectic but I love the experiences I've got: my work as an interpreter and a teacher has brought me into contact with people of all walks of life, both intellectuals and rank and file. I have also visited some rather extravagant places, like offshore rigs! Меня зовут Татьяна, и я преподаю английский язык детям, подросткам, студентам и взрослым с 2004 года. В 2002 году закончила факультет иностранных языков (английский и французский) Костромского Государственного университета. Более 10 лет работаю переводчиком с английского языка, и могу сказать, что за это время приобрела огромный опыт общения с носителями языка.

В течение 2 лет жила и училась во Франции, где усовершенствовала свои навыки разговорной и письменной речи. До сих пор общаюсь с носителями французского языка.

Я считаю изучение иностранного языка удивительным процессом, подобным погружению и исследованию глубокой пещеры или освоению новой планеты. На своих занятиях я стремлюсь сделать так, чтобы мои ученики приобрели знания и навыки, которые помогли бы им продолжать путешествие по миру языка самостоятельно. В своей работе стараюсь использовать самое лучшее, как из коммуникативной, так и из традиционной методики преподавания. Обращаю внимание на грамматику, лексику, произношение, говорение и аудирование.

С каждым учеником обсуждаются цели изучения языка, и занятия строятся, исходя из них. Люблю работать с людьми и достигать результатов.
